The Tezos Allstar Circuit of Champions traveled to Knoxville Raceway – the Sprint Car Capital of the World – Saturday night and it was Rico Abreu who came out on top! After starting 8th, Rico made his way through the field and wowed the crowd by passing two cars coming off of turn 3 on lap 21 taking him from third to first. Rico was able to hold off a last lap slide job attempt from the runner up and pulled his #24 into victory lane!
Rico and his team (head wrench is the famed Ricky Warner) use all Smith Ti products – bolts and brakes. Winning this race gives the team great momentum heading in to the Knoxville Nationals, coming up in just two weeks. Congrats to Rico, Ricky and everyone at Rico Abreu Racing!
